This notice explains what personal data Shine Ark Dental collects about you, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. Please read it carefully.
Who is responsible for your data
Shine Ark Dental, 3rd Floor, Building, 21, Dinnur Main Rd, opp. Nandini Mother Dairy, Ex Servicemen Colony, Dinnur, RT Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560032, acts as the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here. You are the Data Principal.
What we collect
- Identity and contact data — your name, phone number, email address and, where relevant, date of birth.
- Health data — dental and medical history, clinical notes, radiographs, photographs and treatment plans.
- Payment data — amounts billed and paid, and any insurance or corporate OPD policy details you share with us.
- Website data — analytics about how this site is used, collected only after you accept the cookie notice.
Why we use it
- To treat you — diagnosis, planning, and coordinating with laboratories or specialists where your care requires it.
- To contact you — confirming appointments, sending reminders, and replying to enquiries you send us.
- To bill you — raising invoices and, where you ask us to, checking what your policy covers.
- To meet legal duties — record-keeping obligations that apply to clinical establishments in Karnataka.
Consent
We process your data on the consent you give when you register as a patient or submit a form on this website. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to us. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out, and we may still need to retain clinical records where the law requires it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with dental laboratories and specialists involved in your treatment, our payment and communication providers acting on our instructions, and any authority we are legally obliged to disclose it to. We do not transfer your data outside India except where a service provider we use requires it, and only under the safeguards the Act requires.
How long we keep it
Clinical records are retained for the period required for clinical establishments in India, and longer where a matter remains open. Enquiry and booking records submitted through this website are kept for as long as needed to respond and to maintain our business records, then deleted.
Your rights
- Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed.
- Ask us to correct, complete or update anything inaccurate.
- Ask us to erase data we no longer have a lawful reason to keep.
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf.
- Raise a grievance with us, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if we do not resolve it.
How we protect it
Records are stored on access-controlled systems, transmitted over encrypted connections, and reachable only by staff who need them to do their work.
Grievance redressal
Write to our Data Protection Officer at info@shinearkdental.com or call +91 9943376504. We will acknowledge your request and respond within the timelines set by the Act. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India. We will not treat you differently for raising a complaint.
